A rhinitis treatment device including a main body and a pair of insertion rods is provided. A sensing light source and a light receiving unit facing each other are provided on an inner surface of an insertion rod of a rhinitis treatment device. The sensing light source emits light when power is supplied. The intensity of the sensing light source is desirably low, with little risk of damaging the eyes. The light of the sensing light source is detected by the light receiving unit, but when the rhinitis treatment device is inserted into the nose, the light of the sensing light source is blocked by the nasal septum. At least one treatment light source formed on the pair of insertion rods emits light when the light amount detected by the light receiving unit is less than or less than a predetermined reference light amount, or power is supplied. Thereafter, control is performed so as to emit light after a predetermined reference time has elapsed. In that way, the likelihood of eye damage by the light source of the rhinitis treatment device can be reduced.
