The present invention relates to a novel, improved herbicidal combination comprising an active ingredient belonging to the group of Triazolopyrimidine herbicides, an active ingredient belonging to the group of Oxadiazole herbicides along with agriculturally acceptable excipients. The present invention in particular discloses a herbicidal composition comprising said combination, a process for preparing the composition and uses of said combination and composition. The novel combination of the present invention specifically includes Penoxsulam and Oxadiazon as active ingredients along with agriculturally acceptable excipients. The composition of the present invention is highly effective in controlling the undesirable vegetation and provides the advantage of broad spectrum of weed control and wider application window.
