PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a residential structure and lifting method, which allow a person who needs nursing care to use a room, a normal toilet and bathroom by him or herself, while enabling him/her to move 360 degrees.SOLUTION: Ends of the both sides of a rail with movable walking equipment set for suspending a person who needs nursing care is placed in guide rails 31, 32 disposed in the vicinity of a ceiling at the upper part of wall faces opposed to each other in the direction perpendicular to the rail. The person who needs nursing care can move forward and backward as well as to the right and left, and can move 360 degrees in a range of a pair or more guiderails disposed near the ceiling.
