PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sowing device capable of reducing cultivation costs of plants by preventing spill-out of seeds from a medium culture.SOLUTION: Light from a light source 6 is applied to a slit 11 of a medium culture 10 widely opened by approach of both hands 21 and 21 and a picture of the slit 11 is taken by an imaging unit 4. A control unit calculates an area of the slit 11 and causes the slit 11 to widely open till reaching an area for surely accommodating seeds.
