The present invention provides a novel method that expands the possibilities of producing a suitably matching denture base. A denture base (1) has a denture base receiving hole (3) for an artificial tooth (4). The denture base (1) is manufactured based on a digital data set reflecting its shape. Based on the digital data set, a wax temporary denture (6) having a temporary denture receiving hole (7) for the artificial tooth (4) is first produced.
