An absorbent article (20) continuous in a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction comprises a front elastic belt region (84), a back elastic belt region (86), a crotch region (30), a waist opening and two leg openings. Each of the front and back elastic belt regions (84,86) is a laminate comprising an inner sheet (94) made of nonwoven fiber, and an outer sheet (92) made of nonwoven fiber, and a plurality of elastic bodies (96) configured to stretch the front and back elastic belt regions (84,86) in the transverse direction. The outer sheet (92) has a material caliper of at least about 0.25mm at 500pa. The absorbent article (20) further comprises a topsheet, a backsheet (60), and an absorbent core (62) disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet (60). The absorbent core (62) exists through the entire longitudinal dimension of the crotch region (30) and extends at least partly in the back elastic belt region (86).
