PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for increasing plant chlorophyll and a method for inhibiting pest colonization that sufficiently satisfy needs such as reducing the environmental load from crop cultivation, health consciousness of producers, and high interests of food safety for consumers.SOLUTION: The method for increasing plant chlorophyll comprises: a step of preparing a composition that contains an organic acid as an active ingredient and a step of increasing the chlorophyll in plants by treating the plants with the composition.
