This invention provides an ion generation device which delivers ions in wide range and can blow ion wind having a reduced ozone concentration near an outlet port, without using a filter.The device for generating ion and ozone wind of the present invention comprises an electrode pair having a discharge electrode and an opposing electrode, wherein a potential difference is generated between the discharge electrode and the opposing electrode, and ions, ozone, and ion wind are generated by corona discharge the opposing electrode comprises an opening part serving as an intake port, a narrow part having the narrowest inner diameter of a guide member, a diameter-reduced part in which the inner diameter of the opposing electrode is reduced from the side of opening part to the side of narrow part, and an internal space formed by the diameter-reduced part, through which ion wind can pass. In addition, the diameter of the opening part Rα and the diameter of the narrow part Rβ have the feature of Rα > Rβ.
