Disclosed are: a blood pressure monitoring method in which a pulse is measured from a body part by means of a photoplethysmography (PPG), an incident wave due to systole and diastole and a reflected wave returning from an end or a branch point of the rear side of the blood vessel of the body part are distinguished by means of pulse analysis, the arrival time of the reflected wave (PRT) is calculated by means of the waveforms of the distinguished incident wave and reflected wave, and blood pressure is calculated by using the pulse pressure (Pa) and the PRT between a high point and a low point in the pulse of the photoplethysmography as a blood pressure (BP) indicator; and a blood pressure monitor formed so as to be appropriate therefor. The present invention enables recognition of the drift in the blood pressure by means of conveniently and continuously monitoring the blood pressure without a separate operation for monitoring the blood pressure of a wearer, and thus increases the possibility of blood pressure management appropriate for the wearer and, according to an aspect, the blood pressure can be monitored accurately regardless of the variation factors or the physical characteristics of the wearer.L'invention concerne : un procédé de surveillance de la pression artérielle dans lequel une impulsion est mesurée à partir d'une partie corporelle au moyen d'une photopléthysmographie (PPG), une onde incidente due à la systole et à la diastole et une onde réfléchie revenant d'une extrémité ou d'un point de branchement du côté arrière du vaisseau sanguin de la partie corporelle sont distinguées au moyen d'une analyse d'impulsion, le temps d'arrivée de l'onde réfléchie (PRT) est calculée au moyen des formes d'onde de l'onde incidente et de l'onde réfléchie distinguées, et la pression artérielle est calculée à l'aide de la pression d'impulsion (Pa) et les PRT entre un point haut et un point bas dans l'impulsion de la photopléthysmographie en tant qu'indicateur de pression
