Solubilizing Compositions of Atorvastatin Calcium The present invention discloses solubilizing compositions of atorvastatin calcium which decrease low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and increase high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C). A pharmaceutical formulation of statin comprises of atorvastatin calcium, a non-aqueous vehicle, a binding agent, pharmaceutically acceptable excipients and an antioxidant. It reduces the risk for coronary heart diseases. It exerts faster dissolution in gastric fluid and leads to faster absorption which minimizes acid degradation of drug in the stomach. The compositions are formulated in the form of tablets and capsules.
