A method and means for delivery of drugs to the chorio-retina and the opticnerve head which comprisescontact-ing the surface of the eye with an effective amount of drug fortreatment of chorio-retina and optic nerve head and aphysiological-ly acceptable adrenergic agent for enhancing delivery of thedrug to these tissues in an ophtalmologically acceptable carrier, saidadrenergic agent being selected from the group consisting of alpha adrenergicagonist agents, derivatives of the alpha adrenergicagonist agents, beta-blocking agents, derivatives of the beta- blocking agentsand mixtures thereof.
