According to the present invention, a cosmetic composition for inhibiting and alleviating pruritus, which contains isosecotanapartholide, does not have cytotoxicity found therein, has excellent safety, and can inhibit and alleviate pruritus by inhibiting interleukin-31 (IL-31) or interleukin-33 (IL-33) from cytokines causing various kinds of pruritus.본 발명은 하기 화학식 [1]로 표시되는 이소세코타나파솔라이드(Isosecotanapartholide)를 유효성분으로 함유하는 가려움증 억제 및 완화용 화장료 조성물에 관한 것이다.화학식 [1]본 발명에 따르면, 이소세코타나파솔라이드(Isosecotanapartholide)를 함유하는 가려움증 억제 및 완화용 화장료 조성물의 경우, 세포독성이 발견되지 않아 안전성이 우수하고 다양한 가려움증의 원인이 되는 사이토카인들 중 IL-31(Interleukin-31) 또는 IL-33(Interleukin-33) 억제시킴으로써 가려움증을 억제 및 완화시킬 수 있다.
