The novel cyclic compound having a 2-branch structure is described. These novel compounds are absorbed, and the blood formulated with pharmaceutically acceptable excipients to form a photoprotective topical composition, when applied to adult skin of the subject to both ultraviolet (UV) and UV-B radiation than -A.
