A method of reducing cellular damage to a plant by treating the plant with a compound containing an NO-releasing moiety and an H2S -releasing moiety covalently bonded to an aspirin derived core or a NOSH compound is claimed. The compounds may also be used in a method of priming a plant against abiotic stress factors and a method of promoting plant growth.La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de réduire les lésions cellulaires d'une plante en traitant ladite plante avec un composé contenant une fraction de libération de NO et une fraction de libération de H2S liée de manière covalente à un noyau dérivé de l'aspirine ou à un composé NOSH. Lesdits composés peuvent également être utilisés dans un procédé d'amorçage d'une plante contre des facteurs de stress abiotique, et dans un procédé de stimulation de la croissance des plantes.
