Ledit matériau en zircone poreux pré-fritté présente une adsorption N2 d'isotherme de type IV selon la classification UICPA, et une dureté Vickers comprise entre environ 25 et environ 150. Ladite ébauche dentaire comporte des moyens permettant de la fixer de manière réversible à un dispositif d'usinage. L'invention porte en outre sur un procédé de production d'un article dentaire en zircone comprenant les étapes suivantes : utilisation d'une ébauche dentaire comportant un matériau en zircone poreux pré-fritté ； positionnement de l'ébauche dentaire dans un dispositif d'usinage ； et usinage du matériau en zircone poreux.
