The present invention provides a cutting tool for surgicalprocedures. More specifically, the present invention provides arotary surgical cutting tool which overcomes the disadvantages ofprior art surgical cutting tools by providing a rotary cuttingtool having straight flutes, with each side of the flute beingprovided with a cutting edge that permits cutting in bothdirections during limited oscillatory motion of the rotarysurgical cutting tool. The areas between the cutting edges areprovided with relief to reduce friction while the flute moves thecut material away from the cutting edges.
