An electric walking aid and control method thereof are disclosed. A location of the electric walking aid, and a distance between the electric walking aid and the user, are dynamically controlled and adjusted to provide the user with static and dynamic support function, so as to support the user under static and dynamic situation of interaction between walk and stand, during the walking training process.本發明主要透過控制及調整人機距離及位置的方式，使電動步行輔具與使用者之間具有符合使用者站態、步態的合宜位置及距離，輔具相對於使用者發揮靜態和動態支撐功能，使用者在步態訓練的過程中行走和站立交互的動靜態情況下均獲得輔具支持。
