The present invention relates to a method for detecting and compensating an alignment error of the optical signals each light receiving element receives in order to detect an accurate heart rate signal when the optical signals which each light receiving element receives are different from each other. More specifically, the method of compensating an alignment error according to the present invention is applicable for a heart rate sensor having a light source unit in the form of a linear source, a first light-receiving unit arranged on the left upper part, a second light-receiving unit arranged on the right upper part, a third light-receiving unit arranged on the left lower part, and a fourth light receiving unit arranged on the right lower part and includes: a step of detecting an error by comparing the optical signals the first to fourth light receiving units receive； a step of multiplying the bigger optical signal as a result of comparing the optical signals by a predetermined weighting if the error occurs； and a step of adding the size of the optical signal multiplied by the weighting and the size of the optical signal not multiplied by the weighting.본 발명은 멀티 수광소자를 구비한 심박센서에 있어서, 각 수광소자에 수광된 광신호가 상이한 경우 정확한 심박 신호를 검출하기 위해 각 수광소자에 수광되는 광신호의 정렬 오차를 검출하고 보상하는 방법에 관한 것이다.보다 구체적으로 본 발명의 정렬 오차 보상 방법은 선광원 형태의 광원부와 좌측상부에 배치된 제1 수광부, 우측상부에 배치된 제2 수광부, 좌측하부에 배치된 제3 수광부 및 우측하부에 배치된 제4 수광부를 구비한 심박센서에 적용 가능하고, 제1 내지 제4 수광부에 수광된 광신호를 비교하여 오차를 검출하는 단계, 오차가 발생한 경우 광신호의 비교결과 더 큰 광신호에 미리 결정한 가중치를 곱하는 단계 및 가중치를 곱한 광신호와 가중치를 곱하지 않는 광신호의 크기를 더하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
