PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved bacteria-killing agent.SOLUTION: Provided is a bacteria-killing agent containing aqueous chlorous acid. The bacteria-killing agent is made acidic when applied to gram-negative bacteria and is made alkaline when applied to gram-positive bacteria. The bacteria include at least one kind selected from the group consisting of Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus bacteria, genus paenibacillus bacteria, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococcus, Salmonella, and periodontal disease bacteria. The present invention is safe to a human body and easy to handle as a bacteria-killing agent for preliminary treatment in food processing, and moreover generates chlorous acid with little generation of chlorine dioxide, allowing its use as a bacteria-killing agent. The bacteria-killing agent containing aqueous chlorous acid of the present invention can be used as a bactericide such as a bacteria-killing agent and the like, a food additive, a disinfectant, a quasi drug, a medicine, and the like.【課題】改善された細菌殺傷剤を提供すること。【解決手段】亜塩素酸水を含む細菌殺傷剤であって、グラム陰性菌に対して適用される場合酸性とされ、グラム陽性菌に対して適用される場合アルカリ性とされる、細菌殺傷剤が提供される。前記細菌は、大腸菌、黄色ブドウ球菌、バチルス属菌、パエニバチルス属菌、緑膿菌、腸球菌、サルモネラ菌および歯周病菌からなる群より選択される少なくとも１種の菌を含む。本発明は食品加工の前処理細菌殺傷剤として人体に安全でかつ取扱い易く、しかも二酸化塩素の発生の少ない亜塩素酸を生成し、細菌殺傷剤として使用することができる。本発明の亜塩素酸水を含む細菌殺傷剤は、細菌殺傷剤等の殺菌剤、食品添加物、消毒薬、医薬部外品、医薬品等として利用することができる。【選択図】なし
