Disclosed herein is a method and apparatus for swallowing impairment detection, whereby a candidate executes one or more swallowing events and dual axis accelerometry data is acquired representative thereof. Upon feature extraction and classification, vibrational data acquired in respect of each swallowing event is classified as indicative of one of normal or possibly impaired swallowing. Computer-readable media comprising statements and instructions for implementation by a processing device are also described in facilitating swallowing impairment detection respective to candidate swallowing events.L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil destinés à la détection d'un handicap rendant difficile la déglutition； dans ces procédé et appareil, un candidat fait une ou plusieurs tentatives de déglutition l'on acquiert des données d'accélérométrie à axe double représentatives de ces tentatives de déglutition. Après l'extraction et la classification des traits caractéristiques, des données vibrationnelles acquises en rapport avec chaque tentative de déglutition sont classifiées comme pouvant indiquer une déglutition normale ou présentant un éventuel handicap. L'invention porte aussi sur des supports lisibles par ordinateur comprenant des déclarations et des instructions destinées à la mise en oeuvre par un dispositif de traitement, qui facilitent la détection d'un handicap rendant difficile la déglutition par rapport aux tentatives de déglutition candidates.
