The invention relates to compositions for treating infections caused by the mite Demodex spp, said compositions comprising essential oils selected from the group consisting of Eruca sativa oil, Zingiber officinale oil, and Alpinia officinarum oil incorporated into solvents and vehicles, and presented in a kit in the form of a solution, a suspension, an emulsion or a dispersion. They are topically applied for the treatment of infections and disorders caused by Demodex spp in humans.Composiciones para el tratamiento de infecciones producidas por el ácaro Demodex spp que comprenden aceites esenciales seleccionado del grupo que consiste en aceite de Eruca sativa, aceite de Zingiber officinale y aceite de Alpinia officinarum incorporados en solventes y vehículos, que se presentan en un kit en forma de solución, suspensión, emulsión o dispersión.
