PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article excellent in an absorption performance such as absorption rate and diffusibility.SOLUTION: At least a crotch part of an absorber 30 does not contain fluff pulp or high absorbent polymer but is provided with two pairs of left and right linear slit parts 31 extending in a longitudinal direction of an absorber 30 in a nearly central part in a width direction of the absorber 30, a pair of left and right slit parts 311 of an upper layer absorber 301 and a pair of left and right slit parts 312 of the lower layer absorber 302 corresponding to the upper layer absorber 301 in the thickness direction are arranged in the way that they at least partly overlap in the thickness direction of the absorber 30.
