The invention relates to pyrrolopyridine-based compounds of general formula (I): as defined in the claims, and to the pharmaceutically acceptable addition salts thereof. The invention also relates to the process for preparing said compounds, to pharmaceutical compositions containing them, and to their use as pharmacologically active substance, especially in the treatment of hypertriglyceridemia, hyperlipidemia, hypercholesterolemia, diabetes, endothelial dysfunction, cardiovascular diseases, inflammatory diseases and neurodegenerative diseases.
