PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope having a configuration to bend bending pieces in multiple stages in a plurality of directions at one bending part without enlarging the outer diameter of the curved part with a simple configuration.
SOLUTION: The endoscope includes an insertion part having the bending part bendable in multiple directions, by obtaining a configuration where a plurality of joint pieces are turnably connected in the insertion direction S of the insertion part. The plurality of joint pieces includes: a first piece body 41 where a plurality of four-way pieces 41a-41j turnable in four directions are connected along the insertion direction S a second piece body 43 where a plurality of two-way pieces 43a-43g turnable in two directions are connected along the insertion direction S and an intermediate piece 42 for connecting the first piece body 41 to the second piece body 43 along the insertion direction S.
