Disclosed is a thermal covering for use on the hand-wrist area of a user. The covering comprises a chassis (10), a thermic component (20), a digit receiving aperture (16) and a releasable attachment element (24). The chassis (10) has a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis and comprises a flexible body portion (12) having at least one thermal region (14). The thermic component (20) is incorporated into or attachable to the body portion (12) at the thermal region (14). The thermic component (20) comprises at least one continuous layer of material and a plurality of heat cells (22) that are spaced apart and fixed to the continuous layer of material. The digit receiving aperture (16) is located adjacent to the thermal region (14). The releasably attachment element (24) can releasably attach the thermal covering around the hand-wrist area of the user.
