PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap which prevents an engaging power from decreasing by mitigating a kickback phenomenon occurring in a state of being mounted on the tip of a syringe.
SOLUTION: The cap is an elastic cap mounted onto the tip of a syringe, and includes a tapered engagement portion having an opening in the base and reducing the diameter of the part from the base to the tip, and a concavity formed on the outside periphery of the tip of the engagement portion. The formation of a concavity in the tip of the outside periphery of the tip of the engagement portion and the flexible cap mitigate the kickback phenomenon of the cap and apply the stability of the cap appropriately to the tip of the syringe. Consequently, the cap is never loosened by a reduction in the engaging force between the cap and the tip of the syringe.
