The present invention relates to a method for preparing mupirocin calcium which comprises a) adsorbing mupirocin (either directly from fermentation broth or purified mupirocin acid) to a solid support, e.g. a hydrophobic adsorbent resin； b) exposing the adsorbed mupirocin to a calcium-containing agent； c) washing the mupirocin calcium and d) elution of mupirocin calcium from the solid support. An alternative method is disclosed, which comprises adding a calcium-containing agent to a solution of mupirocin acid in an organic liquid, followed by crystallizing and isolating the mupirocin calcium product.Den foreliggende oppfinnelse angår metoder for fremstilling og rensing av mupirocinkalsium.
