PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foldable electric vehicle which is made to travel in a direction intended by a user, by changing a rotation direction of a motor when a forward travel direction of the electric vehicle changes between a folded state and a folding-released state and attaining an appropriate travel direction corresponding to a state of the electric vehicle.SOLUTION: The electric vehicle includes a motor as a drive power source, is configured so that a vehicle body can be folded, and travels using drive force of the motor.
