PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shampoo composition capable of effectively removing dirt due to sebum and a hair dressing agent, exhibiting superior bubble quality during washing hair, and giving good smoothness during rinsing and after drying.SOLUTION: A shampoo composition includes: (A) 3-30 mass% of an anionic surfactant (B) 0.5-20 mass% of an amphoteric surfactant (C) 0.05-5 mass% of a cationic polymer (D) 0.5-15 mass% of an alkylene oxide derivative represented by general formula (1) and (E) 0.1-10 mass% of an inorganic salt of alkali metal. A mass ratio of the component (D) to the component (A) is 0.08-0.9, and a mass ratio of the component (D) to the component (E) is 0.5-8.
