PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical apparatus capable of suppressing functional deterioration of the medical apparatus even when a contact detection sensor is provided.SOLUTION: The medical apparatus of an embodiment comprises a placing part, a contact part, and a detection part. The placing part can place a subject thereon, and is constituted so as to be movable. The contact part is disposed at least at a part of the peripheral edge of the placing part, and is formed of nonmetal conductive material. Electrical state of the contact part varies by contact with the outside.
