PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a registration apparatus, a registration method, and a registration program which ensure accurate and stable registration operation between cross-sectional images of two volume data sets.SOLUTION: Similarity acquisition means 36 calculates a similarity in each combination of an examination cross-sectional image q and a reference cross-sectional image p between examination volume data Q and reference volume data P. Adjustment value acquisition means 37 acquires an adjustment value of the similarity based on a front-rear relationship at the cross-section position of the examination cross-sectional image q and a front-rear relationship at the cross-section position of the reference cross-sectional image p in two combinations.
