PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique utilizing woody waste lumber, which suppresses weed arising in the vicinity of the living environment or enables planting for a long period.SOLUTION: The surface of soil is covered with a material obtained by affixing water-soluble quaternary ammonium compounds to woody chips for impregnation, and then mixing cement and sand with it. Specifically, aqueous solution adjusted such that woody chips in weight may be impregnated with 0.25 to 2.5%, in weight, of quaternary ammonium compounds, is affixed to woody chips by spraying or application. Alternatively, the woody chips are soaked in aqueous solution adjusted to impregnate it with 0.25 to 2.5%, in weight, of the quaternary ammonium compounds, and then sand and cement are mixed in both cases with woody chips, in weight, so as to be 70 to 250 wt.%, and further water is added to it to adjust the solidified material for covering.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】生活環境近傍に生ずる雑草抑制、もしくは植栽を長期にわたって可能にする木質系廃材利用技術を提供する。【解決手段】木質系チップに水溶性の第四級アンモニウム化合物を付着含浸させた後、セメント、砂を混合して固化させたもので土壌表面を被覆する。具体的には、木質系チップ重量に対して第四級アンモニウム化合物が重量比0.25%~2.5%含浸するように調整した水溶液を木質系チップに散布、もしくは塗布によって付着させる。もしくは、木質系チップに対して第四級アンモニウム化合物が重量比0.25%~2.5%含浸するように調整した水溶液に浸漬させた後、いずれの場合も砂、およびセメントを木質系チップ重量に対して70~250重量%になるように混合して、更に水を加え固化被覆用素材を調整する。【選択図】なし
