PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope capable of restraining heat transfer from the leading end of a light emitting element unit to other members and capable of preventing increase in the diameter of the leading end.SOLUTION: The endoscope 12 includes: a body 101 having the light emitting element unit 125 and a light emitting conduit 137 in which the light emitting element unit 125 is disposed and a leading-end hard part 21 having a cover 103 covering the leading part 101a of the body 101 including the leading end of the light emitting element unit 125.
