PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an edible straw capable of eliminating industrial wastes harmful to the environment while sufficiently functioning as a straw for sucking a liquid, and allowing a user to sense an unprecedented fresh taste as food and a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The edible straw 10 is made of potato, and has a hollow 14 formed inside into which a liquid such as cocoa infiltrates. With this structure, the liquid such as cocoa can be sucked through the hollow 14, and therefore, a user can drink the liquid such as cocoa using the edible straw. Further, since the edible straw 10 itself is made of potato, which is food, the user can eat the edible straw 10 itself. Accordingly, the edible straw 10 is not discarded as the conventional industrial wastes, so that the recycling of the edible straw is not necessary.COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT【課題】環境に有害な産業ゴミを無くし、同時に、液体を吸い上げるストローとして十分に機能するとともに食料として今までにない斬新な味覚を味わうことができる食用ストロー及びその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】食用ストロー10は、馬鈴薯で構成され、かつ内部にココアなどの液体が浸入する空隙部14が形成されているため、ココアなどの液体を空隙部14から吸い上げることができる。これにより、食用ストローを用いてココアなどの液体を飲むことができる。また、食用ストロー10自体が食料となる馬鈴薯で構成されているため、食用ストロー10そのものを食べることができる。このため、食用ストロー10が従来の産業ゴミとして廃棄されることがなく、リサイクルの必要性も無くなる。【選択図】 図1
