A plant cultivation system (10) includes: (i) a magenta LED (20a) including an LED element and a fluorescent substance which emits light upon irradiation of excitation light emitted from the LED element, the magenta LED emitting mixed-color light including far-red light having a wavelength of not less than 700 nm to not more than 800 nm and (ii) a red light source emitting red light (20b).
