A composition for external use which contains a first agent and a second agent and is mixed upon use. The first agent contains a thickening agent that is composed of a water-soluble polymer, and the second agent contains a thickening agent that is composed of a water-soluble polymer, pyrroloquinolinequinone or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and water. The first agent and the second agent can be easily mixed with each other, and the composition for external use is suppressed in dripping at the opening of a container or dripping after application to the skin.
