A laryngeal mask apparatus for facilitating ventilation of a patient comprising a mask that comprises a front side and a rear side that faces the back of a patient s throat when the mask is positioned within a patient s throat and a flexible breathing tube. The flexible breathing tube has an interior for the flow of air and is in communication with the mask. A joint section is joined or attached to the rear side of the mask. The flexible breathing tube is connected to and in communication with the joint section wherein air can flow through the flexible breathing tube and through the joint section and into the mask. The flexible breathing tube is configured for connection to ventilating system.
