A method for dynamic dosing of disinfectant solution in a medical devicereprocessing systemincludes calculating a volume of an initial dose of concentrated disinfectantsolution for dilutionto make a first in-use disinfectant solution. The initial dose of concentrateddisinfectant solutionis diluted with diluting fluid to make the first in-use disinfectant solutioncomprising a targetconcentration of disinfectant agent. The first in-use disinfectant solution isapplied to a medicaldevice. A concentration of the disinfectant agent in the first in-usedisinfectant solution is thencalculated. The actual concentration of the disinfectant agent in theconcentrated disinfectantsolution is then calculated based upon the concentration of disinfectant agentin the first in-usedisinfectant solution. It is then determined whether a volume of a second doseof concentrateddisinfectant solution is increased or about the same as the volume of theinitial dose to make asecond in-use disinfectant solution.
