PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain structural reinforcement for stapled stomach wall tissue.SOLUTION: A stapling system for plication includes a main shaft having a terminal. The terminal of the main shaft includes a vacuum tank 18 connected to a negative pressure supply source. The main shaft includes a stapling member 13, and the stapling member includes an anvil 40 and a staple head 42. The staple head includes a cartridge 44 for storing a staple 70. The staple is driven into a stomach wall tissue for plication.
