The present invention concerns method for treating pancreatic and ovarian cancers in a subject. These methods employ compositions comprising the N5 gene product, p84N5 and include nucleic acids and proteins/peptides or polypeptides encoding p84N5 or portions thereof. The invention also concerns prognostic wherein the levels of expression of p84N5 have been correlated to sensitivity to radiation treatments and/or chemotherapeutic agents. Therefore, the invention also concerns methods for prescribing a specific therapeutic regimen comprising specific radiation and chemotherapy doses and adjustments in such doses based on the individual patients p84N5 expression levels.La présente invention concerne des méthodes de traitement de cancers du pancréas et des ovaires chez un sujet. Lesdites méthodes emploient des compositions comprenant le produit génique N5, p84N5 et contiennent des acides nucléiques et des protéines/peptides ou polypeptides codant p84N5 ou des parties de ceux-ci. Linvention concerne également des applications pronostiques, dans lesquelles les niveaux dexpression de p84N5 ont été mis en corrélation avec la sensibilité au traitement par rayons et/ou aux agents chimiothérapeutiques. De plus, linvention concerne des méthodes de prescription dun régime thérapeutique spécifique comprenant des doses de rayonnement et de chimiothérapie spécifiques et des ajustements desdites doses fondés sur les niveaux dexpression de p84N5 chez des patients individuels.
