PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism further softening a shock when holding a cane against the ground to support ones weight as compared to a conventional walking assist cane or crutch.SOLUTION: This cane for assisting walking includes the mechanism for buffering/repelling the shock when holding the cane against the ground.
