PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for adjusting the blood glucose level of a person which avoids hypoglycemia while avoiding the risk of reaching hyperglycemia.SOLUTION: A system for adjusting blood glucose level comprises: an insulin release pump 2； an EEG monitor 1 arranged in the ear region of a person, with an EEG sensing part 12 including EEG electrodes and arranged subcutaneously at the scalp or arranged in the ear canal, where the EEG monitor includes a signal processor 11 arranged at the ear and adapted to identify the onset of hypoglycemia； and a wireless communication link 6 between the monitor and the pump, the wireless communication link adapted to confirm that there is a wireless connection at regular time intervals. A warning signal is sent to the pump upon the onset of hypoglycemia, and the pump restricts insulin delivery for a predetermined time. The monitor provides a warning upon the identification of the onset of hypoglycemia and in a situation where the wireless connection is lost.
