The endoscope apparatus includes: a transferring portion, which is provided to the endoscope insertion portion, for transferring information on an image of a region to be examined to a proximal end side of the endoscope insertion portion a light deflecting portion for directing fluorescence entered from a side surface of a distal end portion of the endoscope insertion portion to one end side of the transferring portion and an image forming optical system for image-forming fluorescence from the light deflecting portion at one end of the transferring portion.
