The endoscope and the endoscope system include unit pixels 230, a plurality of dummy pixels 247, each of which is provided for each vertical line of the unit pixels 230 and is configured to generate and output a dummy signal to be used for correction processing of an imaging signal, a determination unit 521 that determines whether or not each of output values of the dummy signals having been output a plurality of times from the dummy pixel 247, is within a predetermined range, a correction data generator 522 that calculates, for each vertical line, a statistic of the output values of the dummy signals determined to be within the predetermined range by the determination unit 521, and generates, for each vertical line, correction data for correcting the imaging signal based on a result of the calculation, and a correction unit 523 that corrects the imaging signal based on the correction data generated by the correction data generator 522.
