A cosmetic composition in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion containing:(A) at least 5% by weight of water relative to the total weight of the composition；(B) alkylcellulose, the alkyl residue of which contains between 2 and 6 carbon atoms；(C) at least one non-volatile hydrocarbon-based or silicone oil； and(D) at least one hydrocarbon-based resin with a number-average molecular weight of less than or equal to 10,000 g/mol. A process for making up and/or caring for the lips, by applying the composition to the lips.
