PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inhaler used for discharging powdered medicament useful to respiratory diseases, such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or the like.SOLUTION: The inhaler for the powdered medicament includes: a body 5 with a recess part 50 for holding a capsule containing the powdered medicament to be inhaled； at least one air passage tangentially disposed to the recess part； and a mouthpiece 30 which includes a coaxially disposed inhalation passage 70 communicating with the recess part of the body. The body has a pair of push buttons 40 that are oppositely biased by springs and respectively include at least one piercing element for piercing the capsule loaded in the recess part. The medicament is discharged from the pierced capsule when air is drawn through the air passage into the recess part and swirled about therein.
