PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for applying to body tissue surgical clips which provide a user with indication of surgical events.SOLUTION: An endoscopic surgical clip applier comprises a handle assembly 102 and a shaft assembly 104. The handle assembly 102 includes a trigger 108 and a drive bar 140, which is reciprocally translatable by the trigger on actuation of the trigger. The shaft assembly 104 extends distally from the handle assembly and defines a longitudinal axis.
