PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pretreating material and an adhesive material for dental use, which is compounded with a polymerizable monomer containing an acidic group and a filler eluting a polyvalent metal ion, and is essentially free from an organic solvent and is suppressed in gelatinization, although it is preserved in a one-package state.SOLUTION: The one-package pretreating material for dental use is produced by mixing (A) 100 pts.mass of polymerizable monomers containing &ge5 mass% polymerizable monomer having an acidic group and &ge55 mass% water-soluble polymerizable monomer free from acidic group and having hydroxyl group, (B) a filler eluting polyvalent metal ion and compounded at a rate of 0.4-2.0 (meq) based on 1 g of the component (A), (C) 3-30 pts.mass of water and (D) 2-20 pts.mass of a silica filler having a specific surface area of &ge50 m2/g.
