PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI apparatus allowing the optimum presetting of a display layout of an obtained image according to an imaging region.SOLUTION: This magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes: a static magnetic field generation part applying a static magnetic field to a subject a gradient magnetic field generation source applying a gradient magnetic field to the subject a transmission part irradiating a high frequency magnetic filed to the subject by high frequency pulses from an irradiation coil a reception part detecting, by a reception coil, an echo signal emitted from the subject by an NMR phenomenon a signal processing part performing reconstruction calculation based on the echo signal detected in the reception part to acquire an image a display part displaying the image and a control part controlling each part.
