The present invention relates to an automated processing method for detection of an asynchrony event between a respiratory treatment apparatus and a subject's respiratory cycle. The method comprising a deriving data from a flow signal and/or a pressure signal of at least one sensor coupled with the respiratory treatment apparatus, the flow signal being representative of the subject's respiratory flow and the pressure signal being representative of the subject's airway pressure, determining one or more features with said data derived from the flow signal and/or the pressure signal, comparing with an automated processor the one or more features with a corresponding set of thresholds, and determining with the processor an occurrence of a double triggering event based on the comparison.
